I'm dreaming of a White Christmas
"Dear
Anne," ran Davy's letter, "I take my pen to tell you that
we are all pretty well and hope this will find you the same. It's
snowing some today and Marilla says the old woman in the sky is
shaking her feather beds. Is the old woman in the sky God's wife,
Anne? I want to know?

of the Island
Well, I'm not sure if the old woman in the sky is shaking her feather beds
or not, however, I do know that whatever the case- be it the old
women or water vapors freezing, we had a fresh snow yesterday, sadly
it didn't really stick. Nevertheless, it did not stop my brother from
forming a snowball and throwing it at me (it hit me right in
the middle of my back)
while
we were shopping yesterday in Indianapolis.
Hopefully,
we will have a fully White Christmas, and
not a
bleak
green
(brown)
Christmas.
This
blog entry has no real direction, other than attempting to write more
regularly. That
being said, it is exactly 3 week until I leave for Oxford, and I am
getting more nervous by the second as I continue to receive emails
confirming arrangements.
On
another note, Christmas Eve is only 1 week away now! I cannot believe
how fast it is coming. Christmas Eve is possibly more fun to me than
Christmas day, as now that I am older the anticipation is nicer than
the presents. I
also cannot help but smile at the thought of singing Silent Night
with candles on Christmas Eve. There is just something about it that
makes the season complete for me (plus burning my fingers on runaway
candle wax).
